We've been in the background screening business since 1995. What is the cost of a standard background check?
All of our screenings are customized to your needs, so it's impossible to quote "standard" price. Our searches can be very basic as well as very comprehensive and detailed for an executive level screening. A free consultation can help you determine what searches best fulfill the needs of your organization.
What applicant information should I provide when submitting a search request?
Depending upopn which search you order, you'll need a full name, Social Security number, date of birth, address, driver's license number and employment/education information.

What is the turn-around time for a background check?
We offer several instant checks that provide immediate results such as Social Security traces, credit reports, motor vehicle reports and others. The completion time of a more advanced check is dependant upon the information required and may take 2 or 3 days.
How long does it take to set up an account?
You can download an application and other forms required. Accounts can be set up the same day and reports can be processed immediately. Larger volume accounts may require more time. Requests can be faxed, mailed or emailed as necessary.
Why didn't my other background screening company require me to sign forms?
Security Research does all background investigations according to the letter of the law in order to protect you from liability. We use recognized standard methods of record research and we comply with the strict guidelines of the Fair Credit Reporting Act and federal and state laws. Some researchers use sub-standard methods of research and do not comply with laws and regulations which can open up their clients to liability.
